Welcome to Guernsey-Sunrise Elementary School as we Sail into Learning!
In today's every-changing society, it is hard to know just exactly what students are supposed to know and be able to do. However, the one thing we can all count on is that all students will have to be competent in reading, writing, and arithmetic. To that end, we will continue enhancing the elementary curriculum to enable students to develop basic skills in all of those areas as well as some other essential skills like creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, and communication and collaboration.
The 21st century skills that will enable your child to compete and excel as he or she matures in today's world. Below is a link to Partnerships for 21st century skills website that explains in more detail what the skills are and why they are important.
